Yes, serendipity is sexy.
More than 40% of the world’s population lives within 100 kilometres of a seashore. So the odds of finding a message in a bottle launched into a current travelling near your coast are somewhat good. Indeed, finding these messages is not that unusual, but the story behind every bottle – who sent it, where it came from, how far and how long it travelled, who found it and what they did with it – is received like a new mystery to solve or a mission to complete.
Your Message in a Bottle is the first website to hopefully bring together senders and receivers of messages in bottles, share news of a found bottle in an instant – right back to the sender – and track the course of such bottles on their meandering journey. For the first time, people are able to go along for the ride.
